Mainly for filling the beds in front of the house and hanging ferns. But I always buy the 6 packs of plants they are on sale for $1.50 and just use those for planters and the flower beds.

But also each year, I try to add some new bushes or things that come back every year. That way I can spread the work and money over time. 2 years ago, I added lillies and azaleas in the back yard. Before that I added bushes in the front yard. I have been fortunate to have them all come back.

I will blog more about my yardwork later as I get it done this year. Wish I had good "before" pictures like when we moved in our house. It would be amazing to see the differences inside and out! When we moved in there was no beds anywhere! It was so bare!Christinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03277740633375777499noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7645398306482683526.post-62824141977306268962011-03-19T21:48:33.249-04:002011-03-19T21:48:33.249-04:00I wish I had better luck with plants! I think {hoping I'm not jinxing them} this time they have actually survived a summer and winter!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01121857171849337021noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7645398306482683526.post-62130397558641396392011-03-18T11:59:56.128-04:002011-03-18T11:59:56.128-04:00I bought a violet from Lowe's last spring for ...I bought a violet from Lowe's last spring for 50 cents because I felt sorry for it, and last week a gerbera daisy plant for $1 for the same reason. With some love, they're both thriving. I enjoy buying the dying, discounted plants and trying to bring them back. Great find for you!zenahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17845065340266529674noreply@blogger.com
