Super Savings Saturday

I didn't do much shopping this week because I didn't really need anything after last week's awesome deals!

But, I did make three trips to CVS.

Trip #1: 5 Softsoap Spa bodywashes, 6 Colgate Total toothpastes
Total = $20.42
ECB's back = $24.95
(I've got to call CS about getting my ECB's on the Colgate for the monthly deal. The weekly BOGO deal must have messed up the monthly deal. Did this happen to anyone else?)

Trip #2: 1 package Glucerna shakes, 1 jumbo pack Pampers
Total = $.48
ECB's back = $2
(I bought $15 worth of BeFine products, but returned them later because the ECB's didn't print. But I was able to use a $3/15 beauty coupon; that's why my total was so low.)

Trip #3: 3 packs Glucerna shakes, 2 Windex, 2 Shout, 1 Scrubbing Bubbles, 1 Palmolive
Total = $2.20
ECB's back = $12
($1 ECB was from my 1st quarter earnings.)

  1. I bought the Colgate Total toothpaste too, because the display box they were in said $2.99 each with $2.99 ECB. I had four coupons for $1.50 off, so I picked up four. But when they rang up they rang in at B1G1 $3.49.

    So I went back and looked at the display I got them from. The wording on the display said it was for the Colgate Total Whitening, not for the Colgate Total Advanced Clean. So I had picked up the wrong kind of Colgate Total. *Sigh* If I had grabbed the Whitening instead of the Advanced Clean, this should have been a money maker for me.

    Since I'd used coupons I didn't know if they would allow me to do a return.

  3. Supermom,
    OH!! That's probably what happened to me too. I have returned stuff that I used coupons for. They just put it on a giftcard. I was hoping for a moneymaker too. Oh well, that's what I get for not paying attention.

  4. mel,
    I used 3 of the $10 Glucerna coupons (I have a post about that), 2 $1 Windex printables (can't remember where I found it) , 2 $.75 Shout coupons, 1 $.75 Scrubbing Bubbles coupon, and 1 $.25 Palmolive coupon (all from March 30 inserts). Keep working at it! I have learned so much just by doing. It takes time, but it's alot of fun, isn't it?

  6. I also bought the toothpaste from the endcap and it didn't print my ecb's. I didn't say anything because I already had some trouble in the store and just didn't want to be too annoying. I will call the corporate office though.

    You did great this week!
