There has been a discussion going around on Twitter about "Why do you blog?" Problogger Darren Rowse asked the question, and I think it is quite fitting that I share the answer with you, my readers.
I love finding great deals and saving money any way I can, but since I am a very forgetful person, I would end up passing up so many great deals because I couldn't remember what they were. I figured if I had to write every thing down, I might as well put it in a format where others can benefit from it.
I started blogging about any deals that interested me that I needed to remember on my shopping day. Since then I have expanded a bit to include deals that will interest others that may live in a different part of the country than me.
When I get my shopping list ready, I just go to www.centsiblesavings.com, and read through the deals as if I've never seen them before. I try to pay attention to what I could include that would be more helpful for me as a "reader" so that I can do a better job when I go back into "author" mode.
I do hope you all do benefit from the things I post here as much as I benefit from them myself. I appreciate all of the encouraging emails and comments that you all leave. I hope Centsible Savings will continue to be a help to all of you in your endeavor to stretch those hard-earned dollars! And, of course, please spread the word to your friends and family so they can get in on the savings too!
Funny that it starts out as something as simple as that - more or less an online shopping list - and in the process you end up connecting with, helping, and inspiring so many people!ReplyDelete
I've given you an award...http://centsablemomma.blogspot.com/2008/10/thanks-again-for-blog-award.html.ReplyDelete
I love reading your blog each day...and that's a great reason to blog.
Thank you for your blog - I especially appreciate your Harris Teeter deal posts.ReplyDelete
I also use my blog to help me plan my trips. I figured if I was already writing this stuff down for myself, I may as well share it with others if it will help.ReplyDelete
Great job with your blog! I appreciate your links to my Kroger posts as well. :-)
