Décor on a Dime: My final fall wreath

I wrote earlier about my fall wreath dilemma – I had so many ideas and couldn’t decide which one I should do!

I couldn’t get my mind away from this wreath from Pretty Handy Girl.  She added magnolia leaves to a white berry wreath that she had already and I just love the whites and browns!

A friend was so sweet to collect and bring me some magnolia leaves so I knew this was the wreath I had to make!

I could not find a white berry wreath anywhere, nor could I find a swag or garland of white berries.  But then I was browsing through all the Christmas displays at Hobby Lobby and came across these sprays of off-white and gold berries and they were 50% off making them $0.50 each!  I bought 6 of them ($3.00) and headed home to make my wreath.

I used a basic grapevine wreath that I had at home…

and just tucked the berry sprays around the wreath.  Then I added the magnolia leaves.  I didn’t glue the leaves into the wreath, since I like to reuse my wreaths.  I just tucked the stem of the leaf into the wreath and it is holding up very well!

I added a scrap of burlap for a bow and here it is on my front door!

I really love this wreath!  And the best part is it only cost $3.00 for the berry sprays because I had the wreath and burlap and the leaves were FREE from outside!

I have had many compliments on it already (including the pizza lady the other night!) and I definitely think this wreath will be a repeat for other years.

Oh, and I plan to use the white berry sprays in the grapevine wreath for other seasons.  I will have to see what I can do it to change it out!

I am ready to give you a “fall tour” through my house.  Post coming in the next few days – be ready to link up your fall décor too!
