My Savings This Week

There wasn't much I wanted at CVS this week, but I did work a deal for some milk.
Total after coupons = $6.27
Used $6 ECB's
Total oop = $.27 plus tax
Received $5 ECB's for the Revlon mascara

I had quite a few coupons that are expiring soon, so I decided to go ahead and use them at
Wal-Mart. I was going to pick up some more All You magazines, but every last one of them was gone! I think I know who bought them all too! (Hi, Christa! :) No worries, though. I wasn't completely sure I wanted to get them anyway, so I guess my decision was made for me.Luvs diapers - pricematched Target at $6.99; used $5.00 coupon = $1.99
Kashi Vive cereal; used coupon for free box = $0.00
3 Planters and Koolaid; used 3 Planters coupons = $2.66
Lance crackers - $2.00; used $1.00 coupon = $1.00
Land o' Frost lunchmeat - $3.98; used $.55 coupon = $3.43
Kraft Cheese and Koolaid; used free Kraft coupon = $.40
Total = $9.48 plus tax

I knew Walgreens would come out with a coupon as soon as I did my shopping! My total was $5.01, so if I would have had the coupon, my total would have been $.01! Oh well!2 Cheerios - $1.99 - (2) $1.00 coupons = $1.98
2 Hefty Bags; $2.79 for 2 - $.20 and $1.00 coupons = $1.59
Pert Plus; $3.79 - $2.00 coupon = $1.79
4 Bic Pens; Used Rain check for 2/$1 and $1/2 coupon = $0.00

All of this adds up to $5.36, so don't ask me why my total including tax was $5.01, because I don't have a clue! If there is one thing I have noticed about Walgreens, it is that something rings up wrong every single time I go. The cashiers know how I feel about this, and now they just stand there and wait for me to check my receipt because they know they're probably going to have to fix something. Twice, though, the error has been in my favor, and they have just let it go. I don't complain! I'll be getting a $3.79 rebate on the Pert Plus too, so after the rebate, I will only have paid $1.22 for all this.

I didn't get anything special at Harris Teeter. I just picked up a couple things I needed. (Yes, I needed the frozen pizza so I didn't have to cook when I got home. :) I bought the toothbrush because it yielded $.50 in overage, and the wax paper was $.25 after coupon.

Finally, I stopped at Food Lion. I never buy anything there except for the stuff I can use Food Lion printables on.

Ice Cream sandwiches (prize for hubby); $2.99 - $1.00 coupon = $1.99
2 Smart Option pizzas; 2/$1 - $1.00 coupon = $0.00
Vanilla wafers; $1.59 - $1.00 coupon = $.59
Security envelopes; $1.49 - $1.00 coupon = $.49
Shredded cheese; $2.00 - $.50 coupon = $1.50
Sandwich crackers; $1.89 - $1.00 coupon = $1.00
1 lb. turkey and 2 loaves bread; $5.00 - $2 off $5 deli/bakery coupon = $3.00
Total = $9.17

  2. Was the milk cheaper at CVS because it was half drank? LOL That's the way milk is at our house, almost gone before it hits the fridge shelf. Great savings this week!

  4. Hee, hee! I do the same thing over here at CVS for milk each week (whole milk and chocolate milk).
    I got both last week,for about $.43 combining buddies coupons, mycokerewards coupons, and toothpaste. It was a bust though, because the whole milk was bad for some reason, and with the new school year starting, and me back at work I did not have a chance to go say something. I will tell them this week when I go back for more.

    As for the Walgreens coupon...feel good!!! The coupon probably would have done you no good because your total has to be over the amount specified AFTER you use ALL other coupons. Great job!
